Goettle Air Conditioning on Business Prosperity
Since Goettl Air Conditioning was bought by Ken Goodrich in 2012, Goettl Air Conditioning has been enjoying one of its most prosperous moments in its more than 70 years of business thanks to the business experience and insights of Goodrich.
According to Goodrich, he has bought, managed and sold more than 20 HVAC companies, but Goette Air Conditioning is different in the view of the successful entrepreneur. When Goodrich bought Goettle Air Conditioning in 2012, known before as Goettl Good Guys Air Conditioning Repairmen, the company was in a static state. Goodrich, in order to change the company’s condition, changed the company radically. He disassembled and founded a new management team and also trained and hired new and current employes. He also improved the company’s rigor in regards to how it approached customer services and installations.
Goodrich and his Goettl crew revised more than 300 previous HVAC installations, many of these which dated back to many previous years. The quality control checks costed more than $100,000, but it was worth it according to the new owner of the business. Andy Ridgefield, the operations manager of the company, thinks that the new processes have perfected the way that the technicians approach their work when dealing with HVAC products. Installers now take pictures of their installations, and every single job is examined personally by Goodrich. No job is considered finished unless he approves it.
According to Dan Burke, the current chief executive officer and former owner of the company, the biggest challenge was dealing with the changes of the departments within the company, departments such as accounting, human resources, and information technology. Not only that, but such changes were occurring while there had to be new documented and revised systems that dealt with hardware or software. Burke thanks the company’s success to his employees, partners, and vendors. Without them, the changes would have not been possible. Burke has more than 25 years in the HVAC industry, and he has never encounter someone with so much technical expertise and business knowledge than Goodrich.
Goodrich is considering opting for the former name of the company. He had to come up with a different name due to the Better Business Bureau. The change might occur in the future accordingly to Goodrich. Even though Goodrich has bought and managed many companies, Goettl Air Conditioning is dear to his heart. The reason why he loves this company so much is because of his childhood. Goettle once helped his dad fix a Goettl heat pump, memory which has marked his life. Goodrich thinks that his new company currently has a very strong foundation and that the company will continue to improve dramatically, becoming one of the most prominent businesses of its kind. Currently Goettle Air Conditioning has earned more than $20 million in revenue.
Goettl dates back its foundation to 1939. The business was founded by Adam and Gust Goettl, and for more than six decades the business has succeed against the technological and business changes that have occurred though time. Goettl Air Conditioning offers air conditioning and heating services to homeowners and businesses.
