Fortress Investment Group Was Purchased For 3 Billion By Softbank

Fortress Investment Group is a growing investment firm in the United States that specializes in alternative investment strategies and asset management. To date, they have more than 1700 clients spread out across the world in the form of individuals and corporations. Peter Briger is the current CEO for Fortress Investment Group and he has been working at the company for more than 15 years since he joined in 2002. Peter’s main job at the company has been the credit and private equity sector, but now he is also concerned with the companies global expansion as well.

More than 1000 people are employed at Fortress Investment Group, most of which are spread out throughout the United States at various office locations, but they do have some abroad as well. Back in 1998, Wes Edens, Rob Kauffman, and Randal Nardone came together to start up Fortress Investment, all of which have become billionaires today with other business prospects on their plate. Thanks to their hard work, Fortress Investment has become a leading alternative asset company in the United States with very little competition on their door. They are currently managing tens of billions of dollars for their clients around the world, and Peter Briger is hoping to keep this number going up through increased international relations.

Fortress Investment Group offers credit options to most companies out there in the industries for healthcare, technology, gaming, retail, transportation, and many more. At first, Fortress Investment only worked privately with certain corporations and it wasn’t until Peter Briger made the move to make the company public that it was able to expand its market in 2007. The Institutional Investor, a well-known investment news source, named Fortress Investment as one of the best Hedge Fund Companies in the business. HFM also named Fortress as one of the leading management companies in 2014.
