Alexandre Gama: Pioneering Spirit Coloring the World

With quite the pioneering spirit, Alexandre Gama has been on the front-lines of advertising for 35 years, and ultimately founded Neogama, a famous ad agencies in brazil. Mr. Gama has changed the industry for better, always working to ensure that it keeps up with the modern age.

Alexandre Gama was born in Rio de Jeneiro in 1958. After college, his success took off right away. He obtained a degree in Advertising from Armando Alvares Penteado Foundation, then immediately in 1982, he began his career at the Standart Ogilvy, where he held a position as copywriter. In 1990, using the same title, he started working at DM09. During this time, he won many awards for being one of the best writers in Brazil. Soon after in 1996, he became partner with AlmapBBDO, and eventually Vice President and CEO of Young & Rubicam.

Alexandre Gama’s accomplishments have taken a back seat to no one; by 1999, Alexandre began his own agency named, “Neogama.” Later, at the Cannes Film Festival of France in 2008, he was the only Latin American to hold a master class! In 2012, Gama sat on the board of the Brazilian Association of Adverting Agencies, which devotes itself to the publication of Brazilian interests.

In 2004, 2008 and 2013 Gama took his expertise to Britain, serving as Foreman of the International Film Jury of the British Association, and was the first Latin American to win an award for professional advertisers. Upon returning to Brazil in 2014, he was asked to show his work at the Brazilian Museum of Art! This was the only art exhibit of this kind that’s ever been created in Brazil. In 2016, Alexandre was again crowned the winner at the Cannes Film Festival (3 times that same day!) In the years that followed, he went on to win Agency of the Year, the Professional Contribution Award, and the Caboré Award of Entrepreneur.

Mr. Gama colors his world with other things as well, such as creating Violab, a guitar program that includes a radio show, recording studio, and a youtube channel, and adores his partnership with the British automotive company, Briggs, a manufacturer of luxury sports cars.

Mr. Alexandre Gama is certainly coloring our world too with the mark he is making, and is clearly enjoying every second of it, too!
